Meal is a non-selective, natural pre-emergent herbicide which 
feeds turfgrasses, flowers, vegetables, trees and shrubs. Its nat
ural pre-emergent herbicidal properties prevent germination 
of broadleaf weeds, annual and perennial grasses. It works by 
inhibiting the feeder root development of germinating seeds. 
Because it will not kill existing plants which have already germi
nated, it may be safely used around transplants and plants with 
established root systems. Its Nitrogen content will release slowly 
and feed your plants over a three to four month period without

 Proper application timing is critical. This product must be ap
plied and watered in with approximately 1/4 inch of water prior 
to germination of target weeds. Although rains usually provide 
adequate moisture, water if it does not rain within 5 days of ap
