Color Your Winter with Hellebores!

Why Choose Hellebores?

  • Winter Blooms: Hybrid Hellebores, also known as Lenten Roses, produce rose-like flowers in late winter or early spring.
  • Versatile: They thrive in various conditions but do best in afternoon shade and well-drained soil.
  • Long-lasting: As perennials, they will bring color to your garden year after year.

Planting Tips:

  • Planting Depth: Avoid planting too deeply. The crown of the plant should be slightly above or just below soil level to encourage blooming.
  • Division: Hellebores generally don’t need dividing. If you must, do it in the fall. They can be sensitive to being moved, so it’s often best to leave them undisturbed.

Ice N' Roses Series

  • Cross-breeding: This series results from crossing Snow Roses and Lenten Roses (Helleborus x ericsmithii and Helleborus x hybrida). These hybrids are robust, long-lived, and disease-resistant.
  • Flowers: Large blooms appear high above the foliage and can start flowering as early as November.
  • Height: 12-24 inches
  • Zone: 5-9
  • Soil: Well-drained, organic, slightly acidic
  • Exposure: Afternoon shade

Hellebores add a splash of color to your winter garden and are easy to grow with minimal care. Enjoy their beauty and resilience through the colder months!
